Our Educators team arrived in Bujumbura as scheduled with all of their luggage intact. They enjoyed a Sunday church service in Bujumbura with some of the FH staff and a time of fellowship with them. Monday morning they shared a devotional time at the FH office and then traveled to Kayanza. Upon arrival they had scheduled meetings with the assistant to the Governor of Kayanza and provincial Director of Education. They were well received in by both of these individuals who expressed appreciation for the work the teachers are doing. Tomorrow they begin the teachers conference while others on the team assist with latrine construction. Please pray that the teachers convention would get off to a great start and that the Canadian teachers and the Burundi teachers would have meaningful interation. Pray for safety around the latrine construction project and that SPAC people would have meaningful interaction with other people of the community who will be involved with the construction. Pray the the SPAC presence in the community would be positive and part of the reclaiming of God’s dream for Kayanza. Pray for the coffee team that leaves on Saturday; especially that they would make all of their connecting flights.
Thank you for praying,
Mike Deboski
